This week we bring you an EXCLUSIVE-EP for Free Download, from up and coming producer Jubley.
The 6 track EP shows us Jubley’s sinister interpretation of the UK Garage sound, from the militant bass rasping ‘Illuminator’ through to the bass warper that is ‘Mist’.
The 19 year old Essex lad who only got into producing 2 years ago, has really locked into a sound and style that I can only describe as Garage on a minimal-darker tip.
“I got into producing because I wanted to bring together all the sounds I’ve listened to over the years, and try to make something new out of it. Now more recently I feel like I’ve got a sound I like” said Jubley, on why he got into producing.
Jubley who took his name originally as a jokey DJ alias from the phrase ‘lovely jubley‘, found the name just stuck after that. The producer who names Wookie, MJ Cole, El-B, and Zed Bias as his main inspirations in terms of Garage, and draws a lot of inspiration from a lot of the darker more minimal DnB/Dubstep artists. This can be heard in his productions with his structure and basslines sounding heavily Dubstep/DnB influenced, but always favouring the flow of Garage drums.
With the current scene growing and the sound in general taking in more influences from other genres, this particular sound will fit in well. So what does the future hold for Jubley……
